Some OPM Financial Related Critical Scenarios raised by the Cost Accounting Team.
  • Tested/ Tranferable Quarantine might be tranferred to External Parties like X, Y, Z etc. However, there is NO provision to execute such type of transactions, which is business critical
  • Scenario: 10 Kgs of material MMM has been first issued under a batch XXX on 25/07/13 and for example on 05/08/13 another 2 Kgs of MMM is additionally required by that batch; transaction date of later 2 Kgs is set on the first issue date by default (but could be changed manually). This attribute of system might generate wrong transactional result between 2 months, if manually, with 100% attention, the date is not set. User is not assured of the Inventory Valuation under such circumstances.
  • Scenario: A PO has been created for 10 Kgs of API X. LCM module owner will book the initial (might be final) expenses regarding that PO/ LC. If LCM owner books those expenses under Excipients, the landed cost of materials goes wrong. Therefore, LCM owner might not know whether the material is API/Exp/Pack/Mfg/Trading which the QAD will designate. It is probable that he will make mistakes in choosing material types. Can it be populated automatically?
  • It is difficult for the end users to understand the names of the sub-inventories because of short/ abbreviated formats. Example: NRR, RL, RR, etc. Is Temp (150~250 etc) a key issue? Renaming of the sub inventories should be done for better understanding across modules.
  • Once rejected in production floor, materials could be stored back under Released sub inventory; then somebody will have to transfer to Rejected sub-inventory. However, it should be directly under rejected sub inv.
  • If a material is rejected under Quarantine sub inventory, NO alert is given to LCM or Cost or store. A rejection alert should go to LCM, Store and Costing at the point of rejection itself. For materials arrived, Test Samples were not taken within 1.5 months of arrival of materials.
  • Report on insurance claim/award against a GRN/material of a period is required with Receipt information. To reconcile with MDR.
  • Report of COGM/COGS is not available.
  • If QC rejects the materials at any moment, at the time of rejection the rejected materials should be transferred to rejected sub inv automatically which is currently unavailable.
  • Report on MDR/ List of materials disposed off in a date range is NOT found and total MDR process seems not compatible with existing practice.
  • Once you create a new location for COA in the system, it appears in the Budget and Budget Organization form. However, we are unable use the value from Web ADI.
